This year I will be getting my feet wet homeschooling and then plunge deeper in a couple of years once our son is home. I never thought I would be homeschooling, but God is the one in control not me. I can only do this by His Grace, and leading. I never even knew what homeschooling was until I dated someone in college who was homeschooled, and he turned out well (social, articulate etc). Then I did a research paper for my speech class on homeschooling. Our church actually has a number of families that homeschool so I don't feel totally out of sync. Praying the next 6 months go by as quickly. Praying for you my son.

Good luck! It will be wonderful to share that education expereince with your kids! So much can happen when the school doors close and you are the outside. I admire your determination
We have felt the same way as you .... time seems to go so slowly at times but then seems to fly by ....
It takes a very special mom to be able to homeschool ..... something I always wished I could do, but never had the courage to start. It sounds like you will have a lot of support.
Forgot to answer your question .... we are using TOL.
We homeschool and it's easier than it appears to be!! Plus, I love having my kids with me...6+ hours away from home(at "school") was a little too much for me:)

By the way, we are using TOL as well..it's awesome to get to know other TOL adopting families..

To answer your question..we are requesting a girl, 0-2 1/2, with minor/moderate special needs..we were told 12 months..could be longer..could be shorter. With the new laws going into place, I'm hoping for sooner:)
