Day of Firsts...

Calvin slept through the night again, he went down at 8:30 after the girls' softball game. I had him in the ergo carrier so people wouldn't pick him up and/or he wouldn't run away or get overwhelmed by all the people.
Today he had his first McDonald's hamburger and french fries. Ate half and burger and all the fries. He also was introduced to our basement this afternoon. His eyes said, wow, is this a toy store. He is playing with the kitchen and food right now. He loves baby dolls too, kisses and hugss them. So good to finally see him playing, he isn't too interested in the little people stuff yet.
Tonight the girls are going to see Cars 2 with Chris. They are dying to get out of the house, so they are going on a date with daddy. Next week I will try and do something with them while Chris stays home. It is raining today, so we played outside this morning in the back yard. He doesn't play very long in the sandbox, but loves the swing and his car we push him in.

I'm glad to here that the sleeping is going well now! You are such a good mommy Celeste being aware of his attachment needs, I'm always glad to see an adoptive parent hang in there for the child. It can be hard especially when other people dont understand they can't hold him, help him, feed him ect.
