Waiting for Homestudy

We mailed in Chris' health form to our homestudy agency last Friday, so hopefully will have our updated homestudy soon. We will have to mail this with a request for an extension on our I171h to USCIS and then we continue to wait.

Adoption Timeline

July 18 - Gotcha Day.
June 13 2011 Court- official parents of Calvin, made doctors appointment for him, gather paperwork for Embassy interview
May 2011- article 5 letter translated, paperwork sent to the MOJ for signatures to be then sent to the courts
April 2011 - DS form 230 for US Embassy in Bulgaria, Last hep b shot, gift sent to Calvin
March 01-I 800 mailed to NBC by TOL, received I 800 approval 3/26, 3/7 FBI background check mailed to Dept of State, medical 3/16, received FBI background check apostilled 3/21, I 864 W form
February 11th FBI background check complete and received. Feb 12-19th 1st Visit to Bulgaria,mailed FBI back letters to be notarized Feb 21,blood work Feb 23
January 6 2011 - mailed notarized, apostiled application for MOJ requesting specific special needs boy. Registered with MOJ 2years. January 18th mailed FBI prints for background check. Receive referral Friday 21st.
December 2010- Flu shot and Hep b vaccine, I800a extention approval, Apostile and mail to TOL and Bulgaria, including updated homestudy
November 30 2010- redo fingerprints
October - update homestudy, extend I 800a.mailed 28th, renew passport, medicals for the family, shots (tetnus & Hep B)
May 2010- grants awarded for adoption
March- applied for grants
January 2010 - registered for 12 months
December 7- Approval I800a from Hague, mailed to TOL
October 09- Homestudy update complete, I800A mailed
September 09- Bulgaria requires I800a form
August 09- Chris' physical for homestudy
July 21 2009 request refingerprinting
January 6 2009 - Registered with MOJ
December 1 - Received UK letter and mailed to TOL agency, then off to Bulgaria
November 20 2008-Letter from UK on the way.
October '08- MOJ has dossier. They requested a letter from UK authorities before they proceed.
September 5 '08 - Dossier Fed Exed to Bulgaria and Vesta Agency in Bulgaria translates dossier
August 08- Dossier off to TOL Agency
July 08- change country to Bulgaria and change agency. Receive I171H approval from USCIS
June 08- homestudy complete, send to USCIS
May 08- work on adoption education and dossier for the Ukraine
April 08- begin homestudy, send in I600A to USCIS
March 08- decide to go ahead and sign up with agency
Dec 07 - research agencies and countries
October 07 - being called to adopt
